Christy Canyon Field Report Wrap-up - September 17, 2000 (Day 5)

Well, I did go over to the hotel and when Christy came down to the lobby and saw me she gave me a smile and a wave.  It turns out she had Joe call me to see if I was coming over, but I had already left.  She and Joe checked out and we headed outside to the van that was taking them to Logan Airport.  Christy thought this was good-bye but I told her I could get home from the airport by the T (Boston subway).  That famous Christy smile lit up and we all piled into the van.  How I wish the daily commute was like this trip into Boston.  Of course, there isn’t much traffic at 4:30 AM.   We were at the terminal in 20 minutes.

While their tickets were being processed, Christy told me that one time their luggage came up on the computer for a random check.  She said it was sure was interesting for the inspectors when they checked the Christy Canyon road trip bag with all the skimpy costumes, CDs, glossies, and posters!  Christy and Joe belong to one of those airline mileage clubs and almost always get to upgrade to first class for free. I was recently bumped up to first class by a friendly flight attendant and I can see why you’d want to fly first class when you can.  I’ll take better seats, better food, and free drinks anytime.

We made our way to the gate and then Christy’s pocketbook strap got caught at the back end of the X-ray machine!  Once they hit the stop button, I was able to free it with no damage.  At the gate Christy took a final look at my almost full photo album and time flew by.  I asked for a few pictures with my own camera, and Christy snuggled up next to me while Joe manned the camera.  All too soon it was time for Christy to board and time to really say good-bye.  Christy thanked me for keeping her company, helping out with driving, and other things.  I thanked her for letting me be a part of her life for a short while.  The hug we shared was one of the most intense of my life and I’ve had many hugs over the years.  Christy couldn’t squeeze me any tighter than she did. After about a minute, I kissed her cheek, shook Joe’s hand and said good-bye.  I then headed for home.

I’m already suffering from Christy withdrawal!

Some random thoughts from the past week:
Christy will be posting to the newsgroup (via Dave) when she is in Pittsburgh in 2 weeks. Speaking of Dave, Christy complemented me by saying I was doing almost as good a job as Dave does.  KC will be scanning and posting a special letter from Christy about the Club Alex’s trip.  Christy is very busy for the next 4-6 weeks, visiting many different cities, so we want to see your field reports posted!
