I have to say that NYC ASS-Con 1 was an unmitigated success. I want to
thank Nex2nuthin, Clubber, Mr Painstein, Justinthym, Norman Conquest,
The King, Snakee, Harmfanx (who trudged across the tundra from MA) and
X232198 (who actually flew in from London) for making it the great time
that it was.

We started our excursion at 6p in Lace NY, where over the course of an
hour and a half we all found each other. Lace had dancers from 7.5 to a
9 and we were able to get dances of 6+ mileage. An other added bonus,
we found Claudia of Harmony / S90 fame dancing there. (The pictures
posted in the photo section don’t do her justice.) By around 7p many of
us started to get restless and did not look forward to another high
caliber - low mileage venue, so we bagged the scheduled stop at VIP,
even though dancers who range from an 8 to 9+ cal populate the club. I
made a few phone calls and got them to hold the girls at an underground
spot many of us knew. I was hoping to stick around Lace for the start
of the night shift where the dancer caliber increases some. But it was
not to be. We all left before 8.

(To the dancers posting on this board please take note. HIGH MILEAGE
OVERRIDES ALMOST ALL OTHER CONSIDERATIONS. This ASS-Con is perfect
proof.)

We hit the underground spot before 9. It was a pretty good night to go.
Clubber and I got there first. Both the owner and the manager greeted
us warmly and the manager went out on a beer run. Most of the others
seemed to have made it. There were 8 dancers, which is a pretty good
number for this spot. They ranged from a 4 to a soft 8 depending on
what you like. Some of you Harmony fans would recognize a few of the
dancers. Looking around me, I don’t think mileage levels dropped below
8 at all with extras available to those who wanted them. By around
10:30 about half the dancers had left and the others were on the way
out. We still had Passion Bar as a finale on the schedule. Most of the
guys seemed to want to bail at that point. I had already shot my load
both literally and financially, but I just couldn’t pass up Passion Bar
on a Tuesday nite.

I drove one of the dancers up to Passion Bar. Nuthin and Norman were
the only two diehards to meet me there. It was a great night to be at
Passion. There were way more dancers (15+) than customers when we
finally got there at 11. Since I already spent the money I had allotted
for this event, I pretty much limited myself to dollar mini-laps that
are 7+ mileage. On a night like that, supply and demand makes higher
levels possible. By around midnight Nuthin and Norman left. I left
about a half hour later. There were another 4 or 5 dancers that were on
their way in.

In all, at least from my perspective, it was a GREAT night. It was
terrific to finally put faces on the names of people that I have been
communicating with, some for more than two years. If any of you guys
see me in a club feel free to stop by and say hello.

We definitely have to do this again, but I don’t HAVE to be the one to
organize it.
