Yeah, yeah, I promised to post about ASS-Con LV2 but events prevented me
from getting around to it until now. I'm happy with my ISP....Most of
the time. It seems the few times I've had a chance to post recently they
were having problems with the newsgroups.

Anyways, here it is almost two weeks later and I'm just posting my review
of ASS-Con LV2. Still, better late than never (unless this review really
sucks, but I digress).

First, let me say I had a great time! I had no idea what to expect but
hey, I'm a local and I was going to be there dammit! Many thanks to Mark
Green for letting us in, getting us drinks, and providing the munchies!

I left my place around 7:30 which got me too the club around 7:45. Not
too many people were there. Link was there, Dodger was there and a table
full of people I never met. There was some guy named Eric who may be the
first official ASS-C groupie. The club itself was not too full, but we
were busy trying to cover the four or five tables that Mark had reserved.
I sat and chatted a bit, watched some of the dancers and absorbed the
Cheetah's ambiance. Okay, I was waiting for the room to fill up.
Starting around 8:30, more people started to roll in. It was especially
nice to meet Mark182 and Teena, who were both witty and charming. Teena
was amazed at the difference between her club and Cheetah's. We both
agree that most SC DJs should be flogged to death over a period of
several days. I got to meet many others including (but not limited to)
the god of LV reviews, LMR, SirKay (a real English knight - I wouldn't
have guessed!), Bubba (an interesting fashion statement ), Sick66,
lovely dancers Ginger and Lydia, the Pope and the gorgeous Molli,
JustPhil (who toughed it out for 37 seconds before succumbing to a lap)
and many others. However, this two week delay has my memory in a haze.

It was nice chatting with everyone and I wished I knew some of them
better. There is a nice camraderie(sp?) in the group. At least at
ASS-Con LV3 there will be familiar faces. I got a few dances, but none
from the guest dancers (not that I wouldn't have, but they were kept busy
all night!). They ranged from yawn to OK, but I'm biased because I'm
used to my high-mileage Tally-Ho dances. The club music was okay and I
love them rolling chairs. By around 10:00, the chairs were positioned so
that the whole ASS-Con group was in a large circle. Some of the
waitresses and dancers who ventured in had a tough time leaving (but we
tried to make them welcome!).

Since I'm usually asleep by 11:00, I was out of steam by about 1:30 AM
and took my leave, having had a thoroughly enjoyable evening! I'm
looking forward to ASS-Con LV3, whenever that may be. And for that one,
I'll try to post when it's much fresher in my mind.
